Working out with an Injury
When you have an injury, it’s pretty easy to give up and stray from your workouts. I’m going to tell you don’t! (unless otherwise directed by a doctor). Many injuries are easy to work around, and you can still stay active while you are recovering from your injury. Don’t let your injury derail your progress! Working out with an injury CAN be done, if you are smart! I should know, I’ve had my fair share of injuries! When I had surgery on my wrist last year, I concentrated on my lower body, and did Brazil Butt Lift. When I had surgery on my foot and had issues with my knees, I did P90X upper body workouts and lower impact cardio workouts. I’ve had a rib injury for the past 5 years that makes working out a challenge–BUT I’ve figured out what moves trigger pain and I’ve learned my limits.
Working out with an injury IS possible–be creative, take the focus away from your injury, and make progress in other areas of your body. You’ll be back to your workouts in no time, without much loss of your strength or endurance.
