This past week I’ve been in Senegal, visiting the orphanage that we are going to help support with the inspirational clothing line that I’m starting, Purpose 29.

Each time you purchase something from Purpose 29, a portion of our profit will go to Cité de l’Emmanuel, an orphanage located in Nianing, a small coastal town two hours south of Dakar, the capital city.

The orphanage was constructed in 2014 and is run by several nuns.

There are 39 children who stay there, between the ages of 3 months and 18 months.

The orphanage is greatly understaffed and is in need of milk, cereal, diapers, and funds for more help.

The children are BEAUTIFUL and so sweet. I had 8 of them trying to get on my lap at once =)

It was heartbreaking to leave, but I know we will be back, and that we are going to make an impact in their lives!

For I know the plans I have for you

Here’s a video of me going to visit the orphanage for the first time <3

UPDATE:

In the two months since we’ve launched, the orphanage has been able to add back three staff members to care for the babies!!!

Thanks for supporting us, YOU are making a difference!
