Weight loss takes time. It’s not something that’s going to happen overnight, as much as I wish it did!

After I had my baby boy I lost 25lbs in 10 days and was thinking SWEET! This weight that piled on me over the course of my pregnancy is going to fly off.

Well since then I’ve lost about 16lbs. Instead of getting discouraged, I’m thinking that a little more than a pound a week is pretty darn good–and the safest thing since I’m breastfeeding.

Are you getting discouraged with your weightless (or lack thereof)? Don’t! Stay consistent. Stay positive.

This is not a race, it’s a journey. You’re going to have weeks that you kick some serious butt and lose a lot, then the scale might not budge for a few weeks. Don’t worry. You aren’t doing anything wrong. It’s just the way it goes.

With shows like The Biggest Loser, we’ve been conditioned to think that losing 50lbs in 2 months is normal. It’s not.

Now, if you’ve hit a plateau, there are some things you can do to break out of it, that I’ve written about here.

How is your journey going? You can write me here.
