The people we hang out with have a huge impact on our lives. If you hang out with people who are runners, healthy, active and fit, there’s a very good chance that you will end up joining them. 

 
The same thing is true if you have friends who like to go out to happy hour every day after work, eat fast food for lunch, and bring candies and cookies to the office. Our associations have a VERY strong effect on us! 
 
For those of us who don’t have a lot of willpower, it can be very easy to succumb to that invitation to lunch at Taco Bell, or those cookies staring us right in the face. What to do? 
 
I’m not saying dump all of your friends–but I AM saying that you need to choose who you spend your time with wisely. Join a meet up group in your area or start going to group exercise classes–so you can meet some people that share your goal of being healthy and fit. Start a walking group at lunch–and invite those who are temping you! They may just join you! While it’s hard to say no–it’s easy to join a group and say yes to more activity! 
 
Who are you hanging out with? Are they bringing out the best in you and supporting your healthy habits?
