Flexibility. So many people workout hard, they do their cardio and strength training, but they neglect their flexibility!! This is a potentially disastrous combination, since a body that is tight is way more prone to injuries!
I’m a good example! I played competitive volleyball growing up, and I let my glute and hamstring muscles get too tight. What happened? I ended up getting 3 stress fractures in my back, I had to wear a back brace for a YEAR and I couldn’t work out at ALL for several months.
So ensuring your body is flexible is important!
Here are 5 reasons why flexibility is crucial for your body!
Flexibility helps to:
1. Prevent injury! Like I said above, I had a terrible injury because I was inflexible!
2. Improve your posture
3. Make your workouts easier
4. Make playing with your kids easier!
5. Enhance sports performance
So as you can see, you need to make flexibility a part of your workout routine! But where should you start? I highly suggest starting with this brand new program called PiYo. After just one week of PiYo, I already have improved flexibility and core strength, making my other workouts easier!
I have a special PiYo group that starts on Monday, so if you want some extra support and accountability while you go through the program, get your copy now!
Oh, and if you’ve been wanting to try Shakeology, you can get a copy of PiYo with Shakeology for only $10 here:
