Chocolate Coconut Oatmeal Recipe

Who wants chocolate for breakfast?? ME!!! I could seriously eat chocolate ANY time of day…which is why I am super duper grateful to Shakeology for giving me a healthy way to fulfill that desire =) If you don’t have Shakeology for this recipe, don’t worry.  You can use a chocolate flavored protein powder. It just won’t have over 70 different super foods to keep you incredibly healthy.

 

Chocolate Coconut Oatmeal Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats (I use old fashioned oats. You can use steel cut oats if you want)

1 cup water

1 tsp-1tbs coconut oil (depending on how many calories you want in your breakfast)

1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology (or chocolate flavored protein powder)

Banana

pinch of salt

Optional: shredded coconut, cacao nibs, vanilla or coconut extract

 

Chocolate Coconut Oatmeal Directions

Cook oatmeal on stove top or in microwave according to directions.  Add salt while it’s cooking.  When it starts to reduce, mash up banana and add it to the oatmeal.  Remove from heat and add coconut oil and chocolate shakeology and stir.  Eat up!
