Healthy Chocolate Frappuccino Recipe

I love Starbucks….and coffee…and frozen coffee drinks…I really really do.  Did you know that your typical Starbucks frappuccino will run you about 400 calories??? That is CRAZY! Why spend a meal’s worth of calories, plus about $5 for a sugar filled beverage when you make make one that is JUST as delicious at home? I started making my own frappuccinos years ago, and I haven’t gone back to Starbucks for one since.  It just seems like a waste of money and calories.  Try out this healthy chocolate frappuccino, and let me know how you like it!

Healthy Chocolate Frappuccino Recipe

1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)

1 tsp instant coffee (or to taste)

1-2 tbs cacao powder (or regular cocoa powder or chocolate protein powder or Shakeology)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cacao nibs (optional…but I love the extra crunch/flavor it gives it)

1/2 tsp xanthan gum (you can omit this, but it will not get as creamy)

Stevia to taste

Ice to taste

Add all ingredients to a blender and process until smooth! Enjoy!
