Healthy Super Bowl Snacks
The Super Bowl is on Sunday! I’m not a big football fan…BUT I realize a lot of you will be enjoying the Super Bowl and will want to make some food to eat while you enjoy the game. Most of the food eaten during the Super Bowl is greasy, fatty, and just bad for you! Check out some of these healthier choices that you can enjoy while you watch the game!
1. Guacamole!! Just remember, in moderation! Bonus points if you dip it with veggies like sliced carrots or peppers instead of chips!
2. Hummus! Again with veggies, or whole grain pita!
3. Bean dip! Just use fat free refried beans (or regular whole beans) and reduced fat cheese. Swap greek yogurt for sour cream, and make your own chips using whole grain pitas, or buy organic chips.
4. Popcorn! Don’t add butter–and pop it yourself! Top with coconut oil =)
5. Shrimp cocktail
6. Veggie burgers on a whole wheat bun. Top it off with some veggies!
