So I’ve been in France for about 7 months now…crazy how time flies! I’ve actually eaten more ‘treats’ than I have in a LONG time. If you follow me on Snapchat (rachelngom) you see me eating either cheese, quiche, chocolate, and wine pretty much daily lol!
And I’ve LOST weight since I’ve been here!
The French are generally slim people! It’s pretty rare to see an overweight French person, and there are a few reasons I’ve observed how this happens.
🌟 Quality over quantity! They eat smaller portions!
🌟 The food is REAL! Full fat cheese instead of fat-free, bread with three ingredients made fresh daily instead of 80 ingredients you can’t pronounce.
🌟 They eat at the table together as a family, take their time and enjoy their food.
🌟 They’re generally WAY less stressed. I don’t see French people attached to their phones like people are in the states, they get 6 weeks of paid vacation yearly, 3 hour lunches, thus have a great work/life balance.
🌟 They are more active, walk everywhere and take the stairs. Most places I’ve been to don’t even have elevators!
🌟 They eat three meals a day and rarely snack.
Voilà! Eat like the French 🇫🇷 and lose weight! Do you eat this way? Or will you try to implement something today?
