I’m getting ready to leave for VEGAS bright and early tomorrow!!! As I’m packing my suitcase, I realize that I’ve mastered the art of keeping up with my healthy habits while I’m away. I thought I may share some of my tips so they can help you when you have your next vaca =)
Here are 5 tips to stay healthy on vacation:
Tip 1: Pack healthy snacks. I’m actually bringing a little cooler with me! I have chicken breasts that are already cooked, hard boiled eggs, veggies, fruit, nuts, Shakeology, etc. Not only is it going to make it a lot easier to bypass all of the junk that’s at the airport, it’s gonna save me a LOT of money!
Tip 2: Bring workout gear! Don’t forget to bring your gym shoes, sports bras, workout shirts and short.
Tip 3: Bring workout DVDs! Not every place has a gym….a lot do now a days, but it’s always good to be prepared! Honestly though, if you try to stay active and walk as many places as possible, you won’t even really need to do a workout =)
Tip 4: Do your research! Google what restaurants are close to you and see if they have a menu online with nutritional info. A lot of times they do! Then you can choose ahead of time what you can order so you can stay on track!
Tip 5: Get a hotel with a kitchen! This will save you a LOT of money while you’re on vacation, plus you can stock up on eggs, fruits, veggies, meats, etc. to cook. If you’re like me, add a bottle of wine to your shopping list too….I even pack little wine glasses and a corkscrew š
