You’ve heard me say a bagillion times on Facebook that diets don’t work. They don’t!!! You end up feeling deprived and caving into whatever you really want.
That’s why I say eat whatever you want to eat—and you can still lose weight! Now this doesn’t mean eat whatever you want, whenever you want. There is a catch.
You’ve gotta balance out your choices and you’ve gotta enjoy in moderation.
Balance:
If I have sugar like an iced latte or something for an afternoon snack, that means I’m not going to have dark chocolate after dinner. I made my choice—I can have one, but not both. I balanced out my sweet intake for the day. Be mindful of your food choices. If you have pancakes for breakfast, have a salad for lunch. If you have bread with dinner, skip the wine. You can have whatever you want—but you can’t have it all at once.
Moderation:
Moderation is key here. If I want a little chocolate, I’ll have a small piece—not the entire bar. So I CAN have chocolate—but not a ton of it. If I want a little butter on my toast, I’ll have some—but just a teaspoon—I won’t slather it on. If I want to have cheese on my pasta, I’ll have some. I try to splurge and get the good stuff—like a high quality parmesan or a little goat cheese—so I’ll be satisfied with less.
I’ve lost 75 pounds eating this way. YOU can do it too. Jut be conscious of your food choices throughout the day. Really pay attention to what you’re putting into your mouth. That is the key!
