I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago about my meeting with Sagi Kalev, a functional nutritionist and creator of Body Beast. In that meeting I told him about some things that I’ve been experiencing (headaches, dry skin patches, etc.) and he put me on a strict elimination diet until I got my blood work done.
I had many people ask me to keep them updated on my journey, so I thought I’d share my results =) I haven’t gotten the thyroid panel in yet, but my food sensitivities panel showed that I’m highly sensitive to: pecans, rice, scallops, sesame, and sensitive to barley, basil, beef, cabbage, cane sugar, catfish, cauliflower, cayenne, cocoa WAAAAA), coffee (double WAAAAA), corn, egg, eggplant, lamb, lettuce, mango, olive, papaya, rye, salmon, spelt, tea and tilapia.
Whew! That’s a long list lol. So basically, these are the foods that I’ll be avoiding. I shall miss my eggs, salmon, cocoa and coffee terribly!
Like I said in my previous post, our bodies are meant to be symptom free! So if you’re having any kind of symptoms (headaches, pain, tiredness, etc.) get tested! The food you eat has a very large part in the way your body functions!
