Homemade Hummus Recipe
Hummus is amazing….I put it on everything. Yup. Everything. I use it as salad dressing, dip veggies in it, use it on sandwiches, add it to stir fries, quinoa, brown rice…..seriously…it makes everything better! I like to make it myself because it’s a LOT cheaper than buying it at stores, and it is so easy! Here is one of my favorite homemade hummus recipes. I hope you enjoy! Have you ever made hummus?

Ingredients
- 1 15 oz can garbanzo beans, drained
- 2 tbs tahini
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1–2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 pinch paprika
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients into a thick paste. I use my vitamix. You can also use a food processor.
- Enjoy!
Customize by adding one or more of the following
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1 fresh jalapeno, seeded and chopped
- 1 roasted and chopped red bell pepper
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1 cup cooked eggplant
