The Importance of Measuring Your Progress
Go right now and pick up a tape measurer and a camera. Don’t just sit there–GO!
You’re back? Good! Now I want you to take your measurements–measure your waist, hips, thighs, bust and arms. Take progress pictures of yourself–it’s best if you’re wearing a bathing suit or something where you can actually see your body.
Done?
Why am I having you do this? Because you’re going to need to look back and see how far you’ve come. Seeing that in just 4 weeks you’ve lost 3 inches from your waist is seriously motivating–especially when the scale is being stupid (which it often is).
It’s awesome to be able to put your current pic next to your old one and say THIS is how far i’ve come! Did I want to delete every single pic taken of myself when I got out of the hospital and I was over 40 pounds heavier than I am now? ABSOLUTELY. But I didn’t. I knew that I would want to go back to those pictures–no matter how painful it was to see them–so I could see just how far I’ve come.
I want to know that you’ve done this–so WRITE ME and tell me you did!
