Easy Ways to Lose Weight Without Going to the GymToday I want to talk to you about how to lose weight WITHOUT going to the gym. Very often when people want to lose weight, they sign up for an expensive gym membership, are super excited, then fizzle out after 2-3 weeks. Sometimes they’re locked into a contract and keep paying–even though they aren’t going!! 

 
I teach my clients how to lose weight at HOME. Many of us are busy moms and can’t get to the gym! My gym is 15-20 minutes away. That’s 30-40 minutes away from my baby just to COMMUTE, not including workout time.
 
When I was exclusively breastfeeding, it wasn’t possible to workout at the gym. I needed to figure out how to lose weight without a gym membership, since I had 80 pounds to lose!

Here are Easy Ways to Lose Weight Without Going to the Gym:

1. Focus on making dietary changes. I tell my clients that weight loss is 80% nutrition, 20% exercise. You MUST control what you put into your body.

You can’t out exercise a bad diet. 

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, lean protein, healthy fats, and drink a LOT of water. If you’re not sure where to start, pick up my free grocery list here.

2. A lot of people ask me how to lose weight without exercise, and I tell them to focus on their NEAT—non-exercise activity thermogenesis. Basically a fancy way of saying get off of your bum and move more throughout the day!!!

Park further away at the grocery store. Take the stairs. Do squats while you’re brushing your teeth, WALK more. Try to stand as much as possible. Get a Fitbit and see how much you can move each day! 

3. Workout at HOME!!! I workout at home every single day before TJ wakes up. It’s WAY more convenient than going to the gym, and I lost 80 pounds with at home workouts.

I’m even featured in an infomercial and won $500 for the results I achieved for losing weight at HOME!!! 

Ya’ll, home workouts work. My first ever home workout program was P90X, which I did to get in shape for our wedding back in 2011. I was SHOCKED at how well the program worked—I was in better shape from doing home workouts than when I was a Division 1 athlete!

Home workouts are cheap—you buy one and it lasts forever—unlike a gym membership—and there are programs for EVERY fitness level. There are a TON of options, so if you want a program recommendation, email me and we can chat.

Yes, you can absolutely lose weight without going to the gym. You don’t need fancy equipment either. Just a program, and either a resistance band or free weights, or your body weight and you’re set!
