I get it…I’m a mom of a crazy busy 15 month old! I still manage to squeeze in a workout on most days, so I want to share with you 6 fitness tips for busy moms–so you can stick with your workouts!!

1. Put yourself on your calendar. Every week (maybe Sunday night?) go through your schedule and figure out when the best time will be for YOU time. You need that time to recharge!
2. PLAY with your kids!!! Seriously, don’t think that working out has to be so regimented! Just play! Play tag or run around the park with your kids! You’ll get your heart rate up and probably will break a sweat. Plus you’ll have fun!
3. Wear your workout clothes/gym shoes as often as possible! I walk as much as I possibly can when I’m out and about and take the stairs! That’s hard to do when you’re wearing fancy shoes =) Wear something that motivates you to move more!
4. Workout at home with a fitness DVD! Getting to the gym is HARD when you’ve got kids and need to worry about child care! Our local gym doesn’t have child care, plus it’s 15 minutes away! That makes it nearly impossible for me to get there. I have a TON of workout DVDs so I can just pop one in and get moving! Plus, workout DVDs are WAY cheaper than a gym membership and they last forever!
5. Create a support system! Find a mommy meet up group in your area and meet other moms for walks!
6. Use your baby! TJ loves being a part of my workouts! I’ll hold him doing squats, lunges, or use him to do baby chest presses or during ab work. He loves it!!!
