Consistency. If I have one piece of advice to you—it’s to be consistent.
I’ve talked to a LOT of people on my Facebook page—as we’ve grown to over 5,000 people in our community (woot!)
I hear so often that people get started going to the gym, go every day for a couple weeks, then get busy and stop going.
Or they’ll do some restrictive diet for awhile, see some results, then get hungry for what they really want to eat and stop (thus gaining back all of their weight).
What I want to tell you it this: you don’t need to crash diet to lose weight. You don’t need to spend hours upon hours working out. You DO need to be consistent with your healthy choices. This may mean that it takes you a little longer to see results—but hang in there.
It’s like the tortoise and the hare. Slow and steady wins the race. If you can’t realistically see yourself cutting out carbs for the rest of your life, why do it to be skinny for a few weeks? If you can’t realistically spend 2 hours/day working out, why do that now?
I’ve lost 67 pounds in 5 months because I’m consistent. I’m not perfect. I like wine, chocolate, sometimes and bread and butter. I don’t workout every single day. But I never stop and I never give up.
You need to keep your goals in front of you—and every day do something that moves you closer towards that goal.
Tell me: what are you doing today that is bringing you one step closer to achieving that goal?
