Crazy, right?!
So I don’t want you to set a new years resolution, I want to teach you how to set SMART goals, so you can make 2017 the best year yet! You are going to CRUSH your fitness goals this year!!
S – SPECIFIC
*What: What do I want to accomplish?
*Where: Identify a location.
*When: Establish a time frame.
*Which: Identify requirements and constraints.
*Why: Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal.EXAMPLE: A general goal would be, “Get in shape.” But a specific goal would say, “Join a health club and workout 3 days a week.”
M – MEASURABLE
How will I know when it is accomplished?
A goal to “lose weight” is not enough. How will you track your progress and how you will know when you have reached your goal? Making your goal measurable means adding a number.
A – ATTAINABLE
- A measurable, attainable goal could be, “I will lose 7% of my body weight.”
R – REALISTIC
To be a realistic goal, it must represent an objective toward which you are both willing and able to work.
A goal can be BOTH high and realistic; you are the only one who can decide just how high your goal should be.
T – TIME BOUND (90 days)
- Since healthy weight loss is about 1-2 pounds per week, set your deadline accordingly. For our example, we can use 3 months. “I will lose 7% of my body weight in 3 months.”
- I will walk 5 days every week for 30 minutes each.
- I will drink water instead of soda every day this week.
- I will bring my lunch to work instead of eating out 4 days this week.
If your goal is weight loss, you NEED to know about all access and the offer that’s available TODAY!
Now, write down your NEW SMART GOAL, tell someone about it (US!)
